2017 A Year of New Tech!

It has been a great year so far! I have completed my first year at Chrome River technologies and with it has introduced a lot of new technology that I have had the pleasure of working with. I will be adding documentation and projects on the following when I find some time!

-New Front End Projects using different languages

-Angular 4 (w/Typescript)
-Redux and React

With all the new press about WordPress possibly adopting Vue, I may lean my studies in that direction, so I can base an opinion on it. I will also be working on my 2017 NFL analysis site. I wasn’t able to complete it last year. Mainly because I didn’t have the time to devote to it, but also because I was knocked out in week 5!

I’ll see if I can manage to at least complete the site this year, if I can’t make it through to the end. I will be changing the design a bit. I’ll be using a REST API written in Java for the BE. I haven’t decided the approach to take for the FE yet, but I’ll be sure to go with something that won’t take a lot of time. I am already nearing the second week and am behind in inserting the data in the database, which has been time consuming since there aren’t any open APIs with NFL team stats. I will need to find a way to parse the data from a response at NFL.com, since they have a html response instead of JSON.

New section for the upcoming 2016 NFL pool

For years I have entered into an NFL football pool and have been using a spreadsheet in Excel to track stats to help supplement my decision making in picking a winner for the week. The furthest I have made it was to week 15. This year I’m hoping for the big payout, so I figured I’ll step it up and create a web tool to help! I’ll probably still lose, but it will be a fun project to work on!

New Updates

It has been a long time since I have posted and began this website. Just checking functionality and adding some updates. I have been fortunate to be a part of some really cool things over the past two years and I want to get as much of that in here as I can. 🙂

Dedicated to those with the desire to learn and grow. A tribute to those who have helped me along the way 🙂

A resumé can only tell so much about a person. I have always wanted to create my own personal website to help portray who I am, where I have been, where I am going, and who I have become along the way. I don’t intend for this site to have a large amount of traffic, but instead a place where I can recount what I have done and give an opportunity for some to see what I have accomplished and what I am capable of. I also hope it serves as a guide for those who are interested in accomplishing some of the things I have.
